Library Exchange

On Friday, we had another clothing exchange. This time it was a Middelburg-wide clothing exchange in the ZB Library of Middelburg. We brought all the leftover clothing from the first clothing exchange of the semester and some new clothes donated by students to the library. The library had provided a really nice setup for the day. A lot of people from all over the city came and exchanged clothes.

Our Green Office also provided a clothing repair station in the library with three sewing machines from the student community. People were able to repair broken clothes, up-cycle old clothes or new clothes they found during the exchange and make clothing items from scratch. Our board members enjoyed themselves by making a ton of scrunchies from second-hand materials (maybe we’ll have a scrunchie making workshop soon).

All in all, a very successful day for the Green Office, which we celebrated with a nice board dinner in the evening. We made a pumpkin stew with one of the squashes from the AZC garden.
