Zeeland Farms

If you think of it, there are basically only advantages to buying your groceries at a local farm. You can grab your bike and make a short trip out of it: see a bit of Zeeland’s landscape, get a bit of fresh air and, most importantly, buy those fresh, seasonal and pesticide-free vegetables and fruit. The products did not have to be shipped somewhere, which leads to the products having a low carbon footprint.

In collaboration with HZ Green Office the Eleanor Green Office made a map which shows some of Zeeland’s local farms and what you can buy there. We hope you make use of this resource and visit a farm. When you go, feel free to take pictures and send them to us and inform us of the prices so the map can get even more detailed. :)

Also, don’t be hard on yourself if you end up going to the supermarket more frequently, not everyone has the time and energy to always go to a farm to shop. However, it would be a nice thing to implement in your shopping routine!

Don’t forget to bring your own vegetable bags though to reduce the packaging and waste material.
